Enterprise 2.0 Round Up... plus exclusive video extra!

After a long travel day I came into the office re-invigorated by the activity at the Enterprise 2.0 show and the amazing people we met. There are 3 big take aways I came up with during the E2.

- Enterprises are much further down the road than most of us assumed when it comes to the level of sophistication in which they understand social media. That being said, I the cultural barriers to adoption might be a more significant obstacle than any of us anticipated. Can we make Now is Gone and Groundswell and manditory read for anyone VP level and up at all Fortune 1000 companies?

- Humans can embody their social network. Watching Susan Scrupski at any event was like watching her tweet stream. She connects, she listens, she adds value. One conversation with her and I knew half of the people at the show!

- Sometimes even sound checks can be deceiving. For those who attended the Enterprise 2.0 Video Shoot Out, you saw that we have some technical difficulties. Overall the event was great but I'm still steamed that we couldn't show the video I feverishly edited all night. So with no further ado... The director's cut!!!!

Impressive! Very disappointing that the media guy at the actual Shoot-Out couldn't get the audio working. It would have gone over very well.

I especially like Sam's fiery delineation of key issues: "Build vs. buy, internal vs. external, hosted vs. licensed, brother vs. brother, man vs. machine," and Michael's scientific mixing of "30mL of technology" with "10mL of community planning." Clever.

Hasta luego, cowboys,

- Matthew
